What Affects the Cost of Ceramic Coating?
Paint Condition
Paint correction is often the biggest variable. A coating seals in whatever is underneath it, so swirls and scratches need to be removed first. We check every car with a detailing light and paint gauge at consultation.
Vehicle Size
A larger surface area needs more product and more labour.
Coating System & Layers
Multi-layer coatings take longer to apply and last longer.
Extras
Wheels, glass and interior coatings are priced separately.
New vs Used Car
New cars are the ideal time to coat, but even new cars often need a light polish to remove marks from transport and dealer prep.
What Ceramic Coating Does and Doesn't Do
A Hard, Hydrophobic Layer
A ceramic coating bonds with your car's clear coat to form a hard, hydrophobic layer. It adds gloss, repels water and dirt, makes washing easier, and resists UV, bird droppings, tree sap and chemical staining. It also resists light swirl marks.
Stop Chips & Deep Scratches
It is not a barrier against stone chips or deep scratches. For that you need paint protection film (PPF). See our PPF cost guide.
Aftercare
Wash every 2 weeks with a pH-neutral shampoo and microfibre mitt
Avoid brush car washes: hand wash or touchless only
Use a ceramic booster spray every 2–3 months
Remove bird droppings and sap promptly, and dry with a microfibre towel or blower
